CAC Art Competition Rules
This contest is open to all residents of Bell County, CAC members, college students attending Bell County colleges, juniors or seniors in high school, military stationed in the county or VA Hospital residents and also local arts organizations.
Becoming a Cultural Activities Center member permits outside Bell County to enter.
Prizes & Awards
There will be Awards of Excellence, Best in Show, as well as cash awards presented for each category. There must be at least four (4) entries in each category to be judged as a category.
Preparation of Work
Drawings and prints should be hinge matted with stiff backing and ready to hang with wires (no saw tooth hangers). Work without hangers will not be judged. Paintings should be framed, strip framed or the edges painted in a presentable way and also ready to hang. Work previously entered in a competition at the CAC is not permitted. No nudity accepted. All work must be original work by the entering artist (i.e. not from workshop, class or copies).
Every care will be exercised in the handling of the works, but the CAC will not be responsible for loss or damage of the work. Your work is not insured by the CAC.
Your work will be registered when presented
Monday, January 19, 2015 9am-5pm accepting art work
Tuesday, January 20, 2015 9am-5pm accepting art work. No entries after 5pm
Saturday. January 24, 2015 10am Awards in Wendland Hall
Saturday, January 24, 2015 11am - 1pm Opening reception
Saturday, March 21, 2015 9am – 2pm pick up artwork. Artwork left more than 90 days becomes the property of the CAC to be kept or disposed of.
Please do not ask to remove artwork prior to March 20, 2015
